Un pequeño tributo a la E21
Miren el video y se van a dar cuenta de porque a tanta gente nos encanta los BMW..
BMW M1 (1979) Ya casi tocando..los 80'
The rarest of modern BMWs was manufactured from 1979 to 1980 by Baur using an Italian made space frame chassis based on the 1972 Turbo concept car.
The M1 was the first car produced by BMW Motorsport. Originally released in 1978, the M1 experienced production and homologation problems that kept it from international competition until the car was no longer competitive. First shown at the Paris Motor Show, the M1 was discontinued in 1981.
With a 24-valve cylinder head, the engine had 277 hp at 6500 rpm and develops 239 ft/lb of torque at 5000 rpm. Several racing versions exist with power outputs of up to 850hp.
The M1 was all Italian in look and feel, but had a big BMW engine wailing from the back. As one writer puts it, "the sensation of having that twin-cam six just behind your head is hard to describe-it's like extra bass, but without the 12-inch woofers." Only a handful of road versions of the M1 exist.

BMW serie 7 E23
The first cars were the 728, 730 and the 733i with the advanced Bosch fuel injection. The 732i was sold from 1980-83 and was replaced by the 735i. The 728 and 730 were discontinued in 1979 and replaced for three years by the 728i.
In spring 1980, the E23 added power locks, electric windows and tinted glass. The 735i gained a headlamp washer and wiper. In 1981, the five speed manual gearbox replaced the four speed unit as standard. The BMW service indicator board first appeared on this model, and ABS was available as an option. In 1982 the four speed overdrive automatic gearbox was introduced as an option and there was a new front spoiler.
All E23s were based on the M30 "big six" engine. All were 12 valve units except the South African version of the 735i. The 728 and 730 were the only non fuel-injection engine models. ABS was an option on early cars, not standard equipment.
Early cars only had a 4 speed manual gearbox or a three speed automatic. Later versions had a 4 speed automatic with overdrive. The L7 was a luxury version available only in the US with an automatic transmission. This car had a leather head lining, leather door skins, leather dashboard, etc.
The South African 745i had a 277 hp engine taken from the M1 super car. The 745i was never officially imported to the USA.

Serie 6 E24 ( 1976)
The 6 Series E24 sport coupes were produced from March 1976 to April 1989. Over 86,000 E24's were built during the production run. The initial models of the E24 were the 630 CS and 633 CSi. The 633 had a 3210cc six-cylinder fuel injected engine producing 200bhp at 5500 rpm. The 630 CS had a 2986cc six-cylinder engine with a Solex 4A1 carburetor developing 184bhp at 5800 rpm.
Standard transmission on both models was a 4-speed Getrag 262/9, with an optional 3 gear ZF HP-22 auto transmission.
The suspension was a heritage from the E12 5-series, but it was refined for even better performance. Later, the 635 CSi, L6 and M6 models were produced.
The E24 set several standards for BMW. One of the highlights in the dashboard of the E24 was a test panel with 7 green lights showing the status of engine oil level, brake fluid level, brake lights, brake pad wear, tail lights, coolant level, and windshield washer level. The concept of the "check control" test panel has been used widely in BMW models ever since.
